Hey Lovelies,

I’m new to this blogging thing so bear with my whilst I find my feet! For my first post I thought I would tell you a little bit about me!

Well I’m Jade and am the owner of Sparkles Designs, a funky clothing company specialising in unusual (and lets face it, rather awesome) fabrics. I started out creating children’s clothing, inspired by a quilt I made for my niece prior to her birth back in 2011. Since then my love for all things vintage has grown and I decided that I should use these awesome fabrics to recreate vintage clothing from original patterns (I have quite the collection building).

I am coming to a point where I am going to have more time on my hands to devote to Sparkles and will be expanding my adult clothing range which is something I have wanted to do for the past 12-18 months! I’m super excited about this and have wanted to take the ‘leap’ into switching the balance of having a ‘proper job’ and doing this on the side, to making this my everyday life for a long time now, and with my current contract at my ‘proper job’ ending next week I feel this is the perfect opportunity to see what I can achieve! Hence the blog and getting myself out there on social media a bit more!

I was trading at Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair in Brighton on Sunday 19th which was a super fun day where I treated myself to hair and make up from the fabulous ladies from The Vintage Hair Lounge and met some lovely people throughout the day!
